Born and raised in Rhode Island, Grant grew up as a Townie. In high school he was a three-year captain of the cross country team and an All-State volleyball player. Grant graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roger Williams University in three years with a bachelor’s of arts degree in political science with a minor in history. During his time at RWU Grant was a member of the Men’s Volleyball Team and helped to reestablish the College Democrats.
Grant is a man who leads by example and shows up for his community, his friends, and his family. He is someone you can count on. As an active member of the community, Grant has volunteered with Operation Holiday Cheer to help provide troops overseas with holiday care packages, with Save the Bay as a participant in beach cleanups in Riverside, and has volunteered as a coach with the EP Mohawks, teaching fundamentals to the kids.
As an advocate, Grant has fought for greater investments in schools to ensure that these buildings are safe, warm, and dry for the future generations of Rhode Islanders. He has campaigned for people and causes he believes in for many election cycles. Currently, Grant also serves as a volunteer member of the Crescent Park Advisory Commission.

Grant has worked at every level of government. As a product of the East Providence public school system, Grant sat on the committee to help oversee construction of the new high school. That experience taught him how to deliver a project early and under budget. He is proud to be one of the first Townies to graduate from the new building.
Grant worked for the Rhode Island House of Representatives as a Legislative Page. He would return to the House as a research intern for the Vice Chairwoman of the Housing and Municipal Affairs Committee. In this role he assisted the Vice Chairwoman as she worked to pass the legislative package addressing Rhode Island’s housing crisis.
Grant then worked as a Fellow with the Elections Division under the Office of the Rhode Island Secretary of State, where he helped to administer the primary for the Congressional District One Special Election.
Grant spent time in Washington, D.C., as a part of the Office of the White House Liaison Internship Program at the United States Department of Commerce. In this role, he reported to the senior staff for the Secretary of Commerce. Grant supported front office operations for the Secretary and assisted the leadership team implementing President Biden’s Indo Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) to rebuild America’s economic relationships in the region.
